Wonder Woman director’s Star Wars movie misses Disney release date

Star Wars: Rogue Squadronthe pre-announced film from Wonder woman director Patty Jenkins, has been pulled from the release schedule by the Walt Disney Company.

The film, which takes its name from the critically acclaimed video game series, was set to be released on December 22, 2023. To hit that date, production would have to begin any time now.

Since there is no replacement date, Variety states, leaving the film’s status blank.

Disney has set release dates for the films until the summer of 2024, and none of the others have been announced Star Wars Movies by Taika Waititi, Kevin Feige or Rian Johnson are dated.

What we do have are the recently announced release dates for Waititi’s sports comedy Next goal wins (April 21, 2023), The Haunted Mansion (August 11, 2023), animated film Wish (November 22, 2023), Pixar’s Helio (March 1, 2024), n Snow White remake (March 22, 2024), Inside Out 2 (June 14, 2024) and Mufasa (July 5, 2024).

An untitled Marvel film has also been moved from February 16, 2024 to September 6, 2024.

Obviously, all of these release dates are subject to change, as are some of them. It’s also US-specific, as the UK sometimes gets House of Mouse films a few days early.

There has not been a Star Wars movie released in cinemas from 2019 The Rise of Skywalker it was poorly received, although it still performed very well at the box office.
