‘Shovel Knight Dig’, ‘Serial Cleaners’, Plus Today’s Other New Releases & Deals – TouchArcade

Hello dear readers and welcome to our SwitchArcade Round-Up for September 23, 2022. In today’s article, we have a look at the rest of this week’s releases. There are some really great games today, including hot-hot-hot Shovel Knight Dig. We’ve got summaries of all the games, as well as lists of new and outgoing sales for you to check out. Let’s dig! I’m not sorry!

New releases

Shovel Knight Dig ($24.99)

‘Shovel Knight Dig’, ‘Serial Cleaners’, Plus Today’s Other New Releases & Deals – TouchArcade

SwitchArcade Highlight!

I found my Highlight stamp. He was lost for a while. Anyway, this is Nitrome’s brilliant game starring Shovel Knightand if you like games like Downwell you’ll want to get into it. There’s one thing I should mention, but probably don’t: you can play it on Apple Arcade. Like, right now. Personally, this is a game I want to own, but if you’re just looking to fill your boots for a few months, then you might want to consider the Apple Arcade subscription. Dig Drill Knight, recover your loot and enjoy a brand new adventure with our experienced friend.

Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival ($49.99)

Here is the latest Taiko no Tatsujin game. Beat the drums to the beat to 76 songs including hundreds more online. There are additional songs that you can purchase via IAP, but the latest feature is the Taiko Music Pass, which is a subscription service that gives you access to over five hundred additional songs. New songs will be added every month and you can download your favorites to take with you on the road. You can enjoy local play with up to four players or jump online for some one-on-ones.

DreamWorks Dragons: Legends of the Nine Realms ($49.99)

The last game in DreamWorks Dragons The series is an overhead action-RPG where Thunder and his friends try to save his family and save the dragon kingdoms. There are many different dragons that you can use and you can upgrade them to unlock new skills and abilities. Shame it’s single player only as it could be fun to play with a younger family member. As with anything from Outright Games, the price will likely drop if you’re willing to wait.

Serial Cleaners ($24.99)

The sequel to Serial Cleaner applies to the subtle style of the sequel’s title. Anyway, it’s another top-down stealth-action affair. It’s 1990s New York, and you’re a “cleaner” for the mob. Remove corpses, clear all the dirt and leave no clues behind. Most important of all, don’t get caught. you have four different characters, each with their own skills, and you’ll need to use them all wisely to complete each task. Could this be defined in the screenshot above is more intimate?

Roar of Revenge ($4.99)

This is obviously a tribute to Taito Rastan, but sprinkles in some adventure elements to make it feel like its own. It has that gritty quality to its action that’s decidedly old-school, so make sure you’re okay with that before jumping in. You can find relics that give you new abilities and there are many goals to unlock. Very nice for five.

Blind Fate: Edo no Yami ($24.99)

All dressed up with nowhere to go, that’s this game in a nutshell. It looks good and the setting has a lot of promise, but it’s just not very enjoyable to play. You play as a character who is left in a very sad state at the beginning of the game and slowly has to piece himself back together. The most characteristic is that you lost your eyes. You are given the abilities to help compensate, but it’s up to you how much you want to trust them. So yeah, some nice ideas. But it’s clunky and mechanically rough enough that I can’t really recommend it.

League of Enthusiastic Losers ($9.99)

This is an adventure game set in 1990s Moscow about a pair of down-on-their-luck friends. They need some money to pay their rent, so they set out to find a way to make it. It’s an interesting coming-of-age story in a very specific time and place, and while I can’t speak to its authenticity, it’s certainly evocative. As an adventure game it lacks, so if you buy make sure you do it for the experience and not the game pieces.

I Love Finding More Puppies – Collector’s Edition ($9.99)

Yep, it’s another one of those. Find the hidden dogs and whatever other objects the game asks you to find. Six different locations, twelve different minigames.

Classic Games Collection Vol.2 ($4.99)

Given the “Volume 1” Tag the first one, I expected a sequel much earlier than this. Well, that happens sometimes. This includes Mahjong Solitaire, Word Search, Battleship and Hangman. You can play the last two games with a second player via local multiplayer. It tries to keep that pen and paper aesthetic that some games from the first one used, but it feels a bit odd with Mahjong Solitaire.

Mechanic Car Pinball ($4.99)

This is strange. It’s pinball, but you throw cars instead of a ball. This way, you will earn money that you can use to upgrade your workshop. Hit mechanics to fix the cars and hit workshops to upgrade them. I don’t know if it’s a good thing, but I guess it’s at least unusual.
