Kingship is characterized by a deep sense of service to the people

LONDON: King’s Statement Charles III issued by Buckingham Palace said: “We deeply mourn the death of a beloved sovereign and a much-loved mother. I know her loss will be deeply felt across the country, the kingdoms and the commonwealth, and by countless people around the world. During this time of mourning and change, my family and I will be comforted and sustained by our knowledge of the respect and deep affection in which the Queen was so widely held. ”
Loved, admired, respected and seen as the epitome of Britishness, Elizabeth II was in good health for most of her life. But her health began to deteriorate a few months after her husband’s death, Prince Philipwho died aged 99 on 9 April 2021. When she ascended the throne as Elizabeth II after the death of her father, King George VI, on 6 February 1952, she was queen of a declining empire, which she saw disintegrate during her time on the throne.
Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru attended her coronation on 2 June 1953. In 2015, she became the longest-reigning monarch of the United Kingdom after Queen Victoria, who had spent 63 years and seven months on the throne. Among her achievements was keeping the British people’s love of rights largely intact.
The late Queen’s reign was characterized by a deep sense of service to the British public. He was a steadfast pillar of British life and was seen as the epitome of Britishness. However, she was always humble and always put her country and duty first. It was a permanent fixture in most people’s lives here. Her absence will also be felt around the world.
The British people saw her as a source of strength and assurance, someone who represented decency and duty, who avoided controversy. They loved watching her speech on Christmas Day and her speech at the start of the pandemic when Boris Johnson was taken to hospital provided huge reassurance.
He has been head of state in the United Kingdom and 14 other countries, including Australia and Canada, and head of the Commonwealth, a body largely of its own creation. That role has now been taken over by Charles, who will lead the nation into mourning. Earlier on Thursday, members of the Queen’s family rushed to Balmoral, her Scottish estate, after doctors raised concerns about her health. In a very rare statement, Buckingham Palace had issued a statement shortly after 12.30pm. saying: “Following further assessment this morning, the Queen’s doctors are concerned about Her Majesty’s health and have advised her to remain under medical observation. The Queen remains comfortable at Balmoral too. ”
