How to treat diarrhea?
Here are 5 effective home remedies to treat diarrhea as suggested by Dr. Mrunal Gole
1. Buttermilk and Buttermilk
Buttermilk and buttermilk are considered effective remedies for diarrhea. Due to the abundance of healthy bacteria, they help settle the digestive system and ease discomfort. Whey is the liquid component of curds, and whey is made by churning the curds after removing the fat. Dr. Gole recommends taking any of these in moderate doses at frequent intervals.
2. Raw banana
Raw bananas, excellent astringents, are often suggested as part of a diarrhea diet. Dr. Gole says, “I divided raw plantains into three parts and softened them in a pressure cooker with enough water to cover the plantains. Drain any additional water. Remove the pulp and then mash it well. A small amount of poppy seeds should be roasted in a pan until golden brown, then ground to a fine powder. Add a pinch of salt and this powder to the plantain porridge.” The astringent qualities of this recipe prevent diarrhea. It is delicious and healthy.
