Although it may have felt that way Kinda funnyBlessing Adeoye Jr. spoke at 1.75x speed to cut through the talk of upcoming games and world premieres, there were some titles that weren’t just movie trailers. Here’s everything that was shown at Disney and Marvel’s D23 Expo, organized by whether or not they had actual gameplay.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns

Hey, looks like it Marvel’s Midnight Suns got a new new release date. Since it was originally slated for a March release before being delayed (twice), it’s nice to see that it’s coming out on December 2nd for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. We also got our eyes on a nice animated short featuring Blade and Wolverine ripping fools. Now I hear this game has some major romance mechanic along with Marvel’s response XCOM with…being XCOMso I will be following this game’s career with great interest.

Ubisoft

Avatar: Pandora’s Border

I hope you are not tired of listening Avatar (the blue people one) in 2022, why Avatar: Pandora’s Border showed off a new trailer showing how you can build your own Navi and join one Call of Duty-esque deathmatch with your ponytailed companions.

Ubisoft

Avatar: Computation

While Avatar: Computation not necessarily a new game, we saw some new gameplay during the D23 Expo. Its D23 trailer described the game as an action-packed shooter MMORPG that you can play in the palm of your hand, so if you’re in the market for that, this game might be right up your alley.

Island of Illusion

His fans The wonderful world of Mickey Mouse Cartoons that wanted a platform with Mickey, Donald, Goofy and Minnie, understand just that. The game looks like a lot of fun, especially with the ability to play cooperatively with your friends.

Back to monkey island

Monkey IslandIts newest trailer was accompanied by the voice (and face) of Dominic Armato, the voice behind Guybrush Threepwood. The trailer touts the classic LucasArts adventure series with a new art style, musical score, and a Nathan Drake-style journal to document your time on the high seas and reminisce about adventures in past games. Monkey Island releases on September 19 for PC and Nintendo Switch.

Buzz Lightyear chats with Ursula by a lake.

Disney Dreamlight Valley

Dreamlight Valley, Disney’s (extremely good) view Animal crossing gets an extension with games from The history of games. I have to admit, climbing into Andy’s room with Buzz and Woody sounds like a lot of fun, but I got distracted by Mr. Lightyear flirting with Ursula in the trailer. Jessie won’t like this, spaceman. You out of your own pocket.

Disney Speedstorm

Okay, I know gaming is inundated with franchises that don’t know what to do with their IP and decide to make a kart racer, but Disney Speedstorm seems a bit hype. Mickey Mouse in Tokyo drifts around Sally from MONSTERS INC. probably checking someone’s bucket list. If you wanted a release date, it didn’t have one, but listed a Website where you can sign up for updates and wishlist the game on Steam and the Epic Games Store.

New Black Panther / Captain America game

What’s better than one Captain America or a Black panther game? A game in which the two of them are driving out the Nazis during World War II. To make things even sweeter, the game works Uncharted Series author Amy Hennig. While the trailer ignored the gameplay for Easter egg references, the concept behind the game is certainly promising. It also answered the nagging question in the back of my mind about whether Cap’s politics weren’t “of the time” with America’s feelings toward my brooding brother. Respect.

Entertainment focus

Aliens: Dark Descent

If you’re one of the people who forgot that Disney technically owns the Aliens franchise, hello, hello, has, and is working on a new game called Aliens: Dark Descent . The game is a team-based strategy RTS action game in the Alien universe. It looks like you’re leading your squadron of marines through narrow corridors of abandoned starships while blasting aliens.

Niantic

Marvel World of Heroes

Looks like Marvel saw what Niantic was up to Pokémon Go and said Marvel fans should take a break from Twitter and go outside too. Huzzah. Marvel World of Heroes is an AR mobile game where you can take a break from touching the grass to take out Dr. Strange’s Sling ring and patrol your neighborhood for scum and scum. Be careful not to get caught. Gamers get a bad rap as it is.

Tron: Identity

I admit, I was born in ’96, so I had no idea what this was until now KotakuZack Zwiezen of ‘s chimes in the opening seconds of this trailer by typing “TRON” into our Slack channel. So yeah, looks like we’re getting a new one Tron game inside Tron: Identity. Obviously it’s a visual novel. It has a nice font.

And that’s all they showed in this rather light, 23-minute showcase. Did anything particularly interest you?
