The 47th Deauville American Film Festival kicked off on September 2nd, and you might think I was unaware, but I’ve been keeping one eye on it the whole time.
The truth is that the Venice Film Festival was much more exciting and it seemed that everyone had prioritized Venice this year over Deauville.
And when it comes to fashion, we have much more variety than Venice.
Lucy Boynton was honored with the New Hollywood Award at the opening ceremony, where he wore one Chanel Spring 2022 Haute Couture dress.
I can’t say I was a fan of the organza feather-embellished skirt when I saw it on the runway, but it’s either the photo or Lucy herself that sells this look to me, and that’s no doubt because she’s a Chanel ambassador. .
Chanel accessories included Chanel High Jewelry completed her look.
I was kind of disappointed by Agathi Roussel at this event last year, but I was happy to see her bring something different to this red carpet in the form of this Louis Vuitton bralette and revealing draped skirt from the Resort 2023 collection.
Some may think this is inappropriate for a member of the jury, but this event feels more casual compared to Venice or Cannes, plus Agathe has always been a “walk to the beat of her own fashion drum” kinda girl
And honestly, I think this is an improvement over the runway.
For the ‘Armageddon Time’ premiere things took a more moody turn in its second Louis Vuitton appearance of the festival.
This look shows how relaxed this event is – at least in Agathe’s eyes.
Astrid Berges-Frisbey she was almost unrecognizable with this new flame hair color, but her love for all things Chanel remains.
This textured coat was the perfect super-seasonal look for this festival.
Marine Vacthwho is also on the judging panel, looked effortlessly chic in a black velvet Chanel Fall 2022 Haute Couture set with Chanel High jewelry and Chanel pumps.
The Deauville Film Festival isn’t the Deauville Film Festival without an appearance by Clemence Poesy.
There will be no prizes for guessing what she was wearing Chanel.
Usually her choices aren’t that exciting to me, but I love the shimmery hemline on her Pre-Fall 2022 long-sleeve mini.
Which was your favorite from this collection?
