Cobra Kai Boss Teases Fan Favorite’s Return After Season 5 Finale

Cobra Kai The season 5 climax may have paved the way for some serious John Kreese revenge.

Talking to you TVLineseries co-creator Josh Heald was asked about the plan for Martin Cove’s villainous character after escaping from prison.

“One of the best character traits about John Kreese is that he’s faked his death before! It was a really fun Easter egg for that character to touch on and flesh out like we did with that fake-out,” he said.

“It’s a time like that where we find him after Johnny [Lawrence] and Daniel [LaRusso] leave him there to rot that makes him look inward and find that inner cobra to find his way out of there with every relationship he makes in prison.”

Heald, who wrote both Time machine with hydromassage comedies, went on to further tease: “Obviously, we can see that he’s ready to take that ‘no mercy’ spirit back and he’s clearly got scores to settle.

“We’ll just have to wait and see what’s in store for him.”

Add to Cobra Kai possibilities, Demetri actor Gianni Decenzo exclusively said Digital spy what he would like to see unfold if a sixth season was ordered.

“If there is. I don’t know, I can’t confirm anything! But all I’m saying is that Sekai Taikai will be interesting if we see it later. I don’t know! I think the creators are doing such a great job, and I think the fans they love each other so much that I don’t see any reason why we shouldn’t do another season. I mean, we definitely wouldn’t leave people on a cliffhanger.

“There’s still a lot to work out – you’ve got Miyagi-Do, Eagle Fang… They kind of work together, but there’s still two separate groups, and of course the prison doesn’t seem to be enough to keep Kreese at bay!” he added.
